In Loving Memory

Hi everypup!

A year ago today our family lost a very special person...my mom's mom. At the young age of 54, she was taken from us too early. We all love and miss her very much and not a day goes by when we don't think about her. When going through her clothes, mom had an idea. Since we all have such great memories of her and her many outfits, we wanted something to remember her by. She suggested making quilts out of her clothes. I would like to share the pics of the quilts made with her clothes.

In all the square pattern quilts, the big and small squares are made from her clothes. In the center of the quilts is an origami doll pattern that she used to make cards with. My Aunty Tricia's quilt is made only of those dolls. All of the origami dolls have a flower in the hair which is also made of her clothes. The hair for the dolls are all made out of a beautiful dark purple dress that she loved very much. We cannot take credit for making the quilts. Mom found a wonderful quilt maker on Oahu and hired her to make the quilts. Mom's grandpa also wanted a quilt and it is currently being worked on. We all miss her very much and will cherish all our memories with her.

Ti Leaf

Hi everypup! Here are some pics of me with a ti leaf. Lame, huh? When I go out to run around, I grab ti leaves off the ground and play the run away from mom and dad game. They have not been able to get a good pic of me with it because they are too slow with the flashy beast. Dad thought he would be smart and bring it to me in the house. Somehow it's just not the same.

Am I supposed to eat this?

Fun In The Sun!

Hi everypup! I had so much fun today playing with my Wubba! Well, I actually only played with it for a few minutes, but it was fun! Eventually I got bored with the fetch thing and I decided to do zoomies instead! :)

Friday Flowers

Hi everypup! Mom has some very pretty lilies that are growing in our yard. She tried to get a picture of me with the flowers, but I was not cooperating.

I really don't want to pose right now...just give me that piece of chicken jerky in your hand!

Bracelet

Hi everypup! I have a bit of a complaint! Mom keeps putting crazy things on me. First of all, she wakes me up from my afternoon nap and a great dream about catching the duck! Then she puts her little pink bracelet on me! It's from when she was a little girl. I must say it's a very pretty color!

I'm On The Bed!

Hi everypup! As you all know, I have my own futon that I can sleep on at anytime and I also have 2 dog beds. Well, it's my dream to one day sleep on the bed with mom and dad! I had a chance to go on the bed today!



I guess I'm not really on the bed, but hey getting my head on the bed is a start! Before you know it, I'll be sleeping on the bed with them!

Bee Toy

Hi everypup! One of the other toys I got on Sunday was a bee toy. It was really cute, so mom didn't want to give it to me. She eventually gave in. Here are some pics and a short video so you can hear how funny it sounds.

Well, it's been a few days since I got it. He's still fun to play with, but he's missing an antenna! Don't worry I didn't eat it...mom found it and it's in a safe place. :)

Husky Toy

I got some really cool toys over the weekend. This toy is a husky head! It was so cute that mom couldn't resist!

Happy Easter!

Hi everypup! Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny brought me a couple of stuffed eggs. One had chicken jerky and the other had my favorite cookie in it! Don't worry I was carefully supervised during the cracking of the eggs.

Making sure I get every last crumb.

Waimea Canyon & Coming Home

Hi everypup! I wanted to share a few more pics of Kauai and my drive home from Nalowinds.

Here's a shot of Waimea Canyon. It was a VERY windy day up there! Mom took a short video, but it didn't come out good because of all the wind noise and she was panning too fast.

A waterfall in the canyon. The wind was so strong that it was blowing the waterfall sideways.

You can see the Na Pali Coast from the top. You can't drive to the Na Pali Coast. If you want to see it you would have to either take a helicopter tour or a boat ride.

Happy to see mommy and daddy! It was a tight squeeze, but they came to pick me up straight from the airport.

Not even 5 minutes into the ride and I'm in the husky ball sleeping.

I had to adjust my sleeping position and found a new headrest.

I'm just happy to be home with mom and dad! :)

Bacon

Hi everypup! Mom and dad made a friend while on Kauai. His name is Bacon. He was sitting outside of their timeshare watching them. Mom and dad also went to see the wet and dry caves.

Fish! Fish! Fish!

Hi everypup! While mom and dad were on Kauai, they fished most of the time. They were supposed to golf at least once, but they were having so much fun fishing, that they didn't get around to it. Here are some pics to share.


It's hard to see unless you make this first picture bigger, but that's dad and his friend walking about 100 yards out to throw their fishing poles into the channel. I know it sounds crazy, but it worked! They caught some nice fish! Dad is the one on the right.

This is a picture of Anini Beach.

This was taken on the last day of fishing. They went on a short hike to fish off these cliffs.

In other news, mom took me to work today. She didn't get any pics of me, but it was quite an adventure! I came home with black paws and totally exhausted. I hit the pillow as soon as mom washed my paws.

Mom & Dad's Timeshare And A Special Thank You!

Here are some pics of the timeshare that mom and dad stayed in while on their trip to Kauai. It was a one bedroom condo with a full kitchen. Can you believe they had all this room and left me on Oahu? :(

A special thank you to The Army Of Four for the beautiful roses!!! Mom and I love roses, especially pink ones! Here is the message that came with them: "These pink roses are given to friends, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift need to pass them on to ten friends to show them you care. And to those who received the roses, it's to show you are never forgotten."
